Abstract
An inclinometer based on tapered fiber grating (TFG) is proposed in fiber ring laser (FRL). The performance of the inclinometer is studied theoretically and analyzed experimentally. Fiber gratings with a length of 8 mm were fabricated and characterized in FRL. The sensitivity is 1.21 dBm/. In addition, it has a narrow 3 dB bandwidth (< 0.015 nm) and a high optical signal-to-noise ratio ( similar to 60 dB), which benefits from the laser sensing system. The experimental results show that the designed TFBG inclinometer has a simple structure, compact structure and wide application prospect.
