An erbium-doped fiber ring laser proximity sensor with a high accuracy of +/- 16 nm, when the output power difference between the dual lasing wavelengths (similar to 1560 nm) is smaller than 3 dB wavelength has been demonstrated. (C) 2021 The Author(s)
