Abstract
The paper proposes a method based on topology optimization and homogenization theory to design hybrid lattice structures with multiple functional microstructure configurations. A hybrid lattice structure with low thermal expansion and higher stiffness is designed to validate the feasibility of this method. The numerical experimental results show that the maximum thermal distortion of the optimized lattice structure is only 10% of that of the macroscopic solid-void structures. Meanwhile, the optimized lattice structure achieves an 18% reduction in compliance compared with the macroscopic solid-void structure.
